| Be Bold For Equality |
Gender equality in India is not a new phenomenon for us, but is something that we all have grown listening and experiencing right from our childhood to
adulthood. But here is a question for the youth………
Being a youth of such a diverse country, do we really care about it ??
Would our education be useful for being really bold for equality ??
The answer is NO.
Though the youth is aware of the issue and has seen it since decades, still the
youth would and will fail to be bold for equality. Well this is the reality!
Gender equality is a fundamental right to protect the interests and priorities of men, women and trans genders but the gender biased societies have
successfully been exploiting these rights. Especially in India, privileges are given to men whether it is education, salary, freedom of speech etc. but speaking about women, its less and for trans genders, its almost null.
Why it is still an issue or a cause to work on it, even when many NGO’s and other organisation work over it, taking measures to protect the gender equality?
In my opinion, our action is not that bold as our
words. People are more active on social media putting stories and posts rather than being more active on their real life actions. As a matter of fact our action speaks louder than the words.
What I conclude is that people especially the youth have to take bolder steps in order to change the mindset of the orthodox societies to protect the gender
equality in India and make it a better place and a peaceful country to live in with equal rights and respect for men, women and trans people as ‘Equality isn’t Voluntary it’s Necessary.’
