Speak up & Say 'No' to sexual harassment at workplace.
“Sexual Harassment” includes unwelcome sexual behavior, whether directly or by implication, such as Physical contact and advances, Demand or request for sexual favors, Showing pornography, or Any other unwelcome physical, verbal or non-verbal conduct of a sexual nature. It is a crime and if any male is found guilty in this regard then strict action will be taken against him under 'The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013'. So, Always remember...... When a woman says 'No', it is what it is: a 'No'. All such organizations or institutions which have more than 10 employees are obliged to constitute Internal Complaints Committee. The Act and Rules framed thereto have put onus on the employer to constitute Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) and on the district officer to constitute Local Complaint Committee (LCC) to address such complaints. Under the Act, the Internal Complaints Committee is required to complete its inquiry within 90 days from the date of receiving a sexual harassment complaint.

Talent, love, mind, work, voice, soul has no Gender
Goal 5 and India
Although India has achieved gender parity at the primary education level and is on track to achieve parity at all education levels, as of June 2019, the proportion of seats in the Lok Sabha held by women had only reached 11% but 46% in the Panchayati Raj Institutions. India is also confronting the challenge of violence against women. As an example, a baseline study revealed that in New Delhi, 92% of women had experienced some form of sexual violence in public spaces during their lifetime. In 2016, close to a third of total crimes reported against women in India was cruelty or physical violence by her husband or his relative. The Government of India has identified ending violence against women as a key national priority, which resonates with the Sustainable Development targets of the United Nations on gender equality. The prime minister’s Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative aims at equal opportunity and education for girls in India. In addition, specific interventions on female employment, programmes on the empowerment of adolescent girls, the Sukanya Samridhi Yojana on girl child prosperity and the Janani Suraksha Yojana for mothers advance India’s commitment to gender equality, and the targets of Goal 4.
Mental health and psychosocial wellbeing were defined as an integral part of health by the WHO in 1978, and have been addressed in many UN resolutions. However, it is only recently that mental health has been included on the unified global agenda. When world leaders adopted the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015, they also committed to prioritize “prevention and treatment of non-communicable diseases, including behavioral development and neurological disorders, which constitute a major challenge to sustainable development”
Let's promote skill development and entrepreneurship to facilitate job creation and strengthen SDG8
