We are extremely proud to present Swapnil Saundarya Vlog { A vlog (or video blog)} is a blog that contains video content. )on the completion of successful and glorious four years of Swapnil Saundarya ezine & We literally step over into the fifth year of our ezine. Once again, the start of a brand new volume has come upon us. As we enter into new possibilities, may we all be reminded that we have the ability to be, do, and have anything that we want; that there are no mistakes, only lessons; and that the love and happiness we seek is already within our grasp.
During previous volumes, we all grew some, laughed some (a LOT, I hope!), shed some tears, and came to some new realizations with Swapnil Saundarya . We reached some of our goals, gained some victories, and also came to more clearly define the things we want to have in the future. All in all, we have truly been blessed!
As we begin volume 5th of Swapnil Saundarya ezine, my prayer is that we continue to grow and find the space within ourselves to know, beyond all doubt, that there is nothing more that we need to do in order to be complete. All we need is a willingness to allow ourselves to feel good and to be at peace in the present moment. All we need is gratitude for all that we have, and all that we have had the pleasure to be and to experience. That is the starting point from which all other things will flow into our existence.

Art is defined as the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.
Evolving beyond its traditional mediums of miniaturists and calligraphers, the Pakistani contemporary art scene now boasts a multitude of established and upcoming artists whose fresh, innovative work has attracted a great deal of international interest.Pakistan’s art scene might initially seem restrictive upon first glance, but after going through the works of several young, contemporary Pakistani artists, the silver lining is more apparent—being at such a nascent stage, there’s a lot of freedom to create new voices, spaces and styles. And for those who are both talented and dedicated, there’s more instantaneous upward mobility than in art worlds that are more developed.
This young artist express her experience of the country’s diverse social and cultural landscape in varied and fascinating ways.Unlike many other artists, Maryam Mughal set out on her artistic journey at a very young age, after having identified a vision of her destiny.
Maryam Mughal, a Pakistani artist from Islamabad has equal expertise in various mediums like oil , Charcoal , Pencil , Ink and water colours . Her work gives the viewer not only a sub-continental but an international feel . Women, Nature, Culture, Pain,Transitions inspire her in Painting.You can see women in Flamenco or Traditional Egyptian Dance . She paints women in Indian classical dances like Bhartanatyam , Odissi , Manipuri and Kathak . You can see her women in folk dances like Gidda , Bhangra and Kalbelia (dance of the desert ) .
Maryam Mughal also paints rural women doing ordinary work like taking water from the well or attending to fields and family or walking in desert in search of water . Her women are in Sarees , odini , Kurti and other subcontinental dresses .
Besides women, Maryam Mughal explores the border between reality and fiction; her works create surreal juxtapositions of various ‘things’ and question notions of ‘certainty’ and ‘truth’ through the use of digital imaging.
Maryam Mughal says , " I love to paint a canvas with colors of my thoughts since childhood . One day I did it on paper and the world around me said, wow, since then I was titled as a natural artist and my hands itch to create more art to beautify life around me. I paint my desires, my expressions and expectations towards life according to my violent mood swings."
"For me, each of my painting is more like my own baby as I feel my soul in it. Contemporary modern and figurative is my favorite domain to work. Yet I have trained myself to work on art assignments too, as a decade of work has enabled me to grasp the idea and tailor it to clients’ demands. I’m inspired by nature, pain and transitions. I love painting beyond constraints of time and space. My hobby is my profession so I don’t see myself retiring any time in life. I want to leave some work which makes me eternal. The journey of the artist in me has faced every possible adversity; from rejection to alienation, from ridicule to exploitation but it only grew stronger and today when I look with in , I don’t see much of myself except than an artist" , she added.
The individuality of the art displayed, appeared as an allegorical exercise in the sensitivity of the young artist Maryam Mughal, showing her feelings and thoughts of the world around her. One may learn a great deal by studying the astute observations of this young Pakistani artist with potential, artist who express her inner feelings in highly personal statements.
